Hi! I'm a mama of 3 who took to babywearing after my first was born almost 10 years ago. Babywearing was something I realized I loved...it resonated with me after studying about early childhood development and attachment through my previous work as a social worker. I wanted to become more skilled at it so I started attending the monthly meetings that were held by a local babywearing group, Northwest Arkansas Babywearers. Through babywearing, I was able to connect with other parents who were also in this same phase and it became a support for me early in my journey as a parent.
Babywearing became a tool, a hobby, a safe place for my kids...it grew to be a vital addition to my parenting that I wanted to share with others. I volunteered with the local babywearing group as an admin and have had the pleasure of helping parents troubleshoot the fit of carriers they owned, of finding new carriers to love, and of teaching new skills to use as they navigate parenthood.
Babywearing has become such
an integral part of my life as a mom.
But it wasn’t always an easy skill, especially at first. Using a carrier was something that caused anxiety as I wanted to make sure I was babywearing safely and correctly and that it felt comfortable for me and my babies.
I needed the support of someone who could guide me in how to use carriers safely and comfortably. My hope is that I can be that support for families here in Northwest Arkansas with my services through Wrapped Together. I hope I can be a resource for caregivers not only in learning how to babywear safely and comfortably but also helping make this short but significant time in your child’s life an enjoyable moment in your parenting journey.
Happy wearing!
